The Weasley's in the news

It would seem that all the Weasley actors were in the news this week. Bonnie Wright (Ginny) sat down to talk about kissing Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) in the sixth movie, "Half-Blood Prince." While the twins, Oliver and James Phelps (Fred and George) spoke in a radio interview about working on the movies for over 10 years and finally, Rupert Grint (Ron) participated in a photo shoot as one of his favorite movie characters.

'HBP' tops worldwide box office for 2009

Add another feather to the "Harry Potter" 2009 cap as the movie tops the worldwide movie charts in the number one spot after taking in $929.4m.

'Half-Blood Prince' DVD tops sales in the U.S.

The release of Warner Home Video's "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" DVD topped sales in the U.S. this week, garnering $302 million in sales. Meanwhile, it was in the number 2 spot for movie rentals.

'Potter' series, JKR & Emma Watson top many lists

Once again "Harry Potter" hits a record. In fact, according to Scholastic and the Guinness World Record keepers and Twitter the last decade has been a great one for J.K. Rolwing, the books and movies and a certain young actress.

Visual effects in 'HBP' shortlisted for Oscar nomination

"Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" has been short-listed by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for nomination in next year's Oscar ceremony. One of 15 films, including "Star Trek" and "2012", the list will be condensed even further next month and then members have until January 21 to pick which three will go on to be finalists.

'Half-Blood Prince' DVD fastest-selling this year in UK

The "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" DVD was just released on Monday in the UK and has become the fastest-selling DVD of the year selling up to 840,000 copies in just a few hours.

Numerous interviews with the 'Harry Potter' cast

Some new interviews with the cast members of "Harry Potter" have appeared online. In the run up to the release of the "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" DVD Tom Felton, Matt Lewis, Evanna Lynch and Jessie Cave as well as Ms. Fiona Shaw spoke to the press about the movies and more.
